With the news that another EV carrier has caught fire and been abandoned in the Pacific, it prompted me to ask Google - "does using AnteoTech high silicon anodes in lithium ion batteries reduce flammability”.
The AI Overview gave an extensive answer, with this summary:

I then went to the AnteoTech website and read their information relating to the “ Benefits of Anteo X cross-linker additive”.
To my surprise there is no mention of improved flammability resistance - WTF!
Surely this is a major and ongoing issue with Lithium Ion batteries and if the use of Anteo X mitigates this risk, as the AI Overview suggests, why isn’t it being advised as a headline benefit and being shouted from the rooftops.
Either we are being mislead and there is no meaningful flammability benefit, or the AnteoTech marketing people have been grossly negligent by not including it.
I have just sent an email to AnteoTech regarding this issue and it will be interesting to see if I actually get a response. My previous track record with getting any feedback from the company, with the few queries that I have made to them, has been terrible.
If I do get a response I will post it, with their permission.
In the meantime, I for one would appreciate any further advice regarding the effect on flammability by incorporating Anteo X, from anyone in our forum who has more information.
