Your airline analogy is actually a very good one, I think, but for entirely opposite reasons to the ones you are suggesting.
Airlines incur umpteen operational issues in any given time frame (sometimes, several occur within a single flight), for example from mild issues such as turbulence, bird strikes, cabin de-pressurisation) to even serious ones (examples: landing gear malfunction, pilot error or engine failure).
I'd argue that this business is akin to an airline: stuff is going to happen and imperfection will be manifest at times; but like airlines, none of these will cause catastrophic failure and the plane will simply require some time in the hangar for some updates and repairs to its systems, and soon thereafter it will be back in the skies.
