You’re now splitting hairs to preserve a narrative. Israel is a functioning democracy with robust internal debate, legal checks, and a press that doesn’t hold back. Criticising specific ministers or IDF actions is fair game. Pretending that this invalidates Israel’s recognition of Palestinians as human beings is intellectual dishonesty.
Unlike the terrorist groups you hesitate to name, Israel doesn’t build its ideology on wiping out another people. Hamas does. Israel doesn’t pay stipends to murderers of children. The Palestinian Authority does. Israel doesn’t indoctrinate its youth with martyrdom cartoons and 5 year old kindergarten graduations with machine guns and kill-the-Jew performances. Gaza does.
So if you’re sincerely concerned about who “decides who lives and dies,” start with the ones launching rockets from playgrounds and storing weapons in hospitals - maybe, just maybe, will people then take your humanitarian outrage seriously.
