A quick search of world coal use will tell you it is going up year after year. Asia is the biggest contributor. Think air conditioners as the world supposedly heats or maybe they just want to charge their phones. Lookout if they start charging cars etc. The I.E.A has forecast a slight increase this year but has been wrong over previous years as dry conditions limit hydro generation. I guess the third world countries just want to use as much power per capita as we do.
If you don't like coal stocks that's great, you made your point so buy a solar/wind farm stock, or better still how about some green hydrogen.
