"There should be no path to citizenship for these illegal criminal immigrants."
Therein lies the fundamental difference between Trumpists and others.
Trump's attempts to cancel DACA haven't as yet succeeded but, as time goes on, the numbers covered decreases as it only applies to children brought to the US before June 2007.
"The average DACA recipient arrived in the United States at age 7 and has lived here for more than 20 years."
Many children of undocumented immigrants are now parents of US citizens, own homes, have jobs and are part of their communities.
Obviously, round up and deport the criminals but what is the benefit to US society in removing the others ?
What happens to their assets on deportation ? Can they sell their houses and take the cash with them or is it all forfeited to the Government ?
Stories of produce rotting in fields, business collapsing without staff, meat packing factories shutting down etc are becoming more common.
Does everyone in the US have to be as compassionate as Stephen Miller ?
