Say with $10-20 million to trade you can control the sell and bid lines. There's enough liquidity in the stock to get in and out so to me they've stepped up the price yesterday to 10c filled the buy lines at 10 and 10.5 then were selling at 11c. Algo detects no more buyers at 11c then offloads the rest.
Process starts all again at some unknown new point that they will determine. They won't go away until the volume on the stock dies down.
As long as there enough day and short term traders on the stock they will make money
