I think it is called removal of bias? one which it is a strong reminder for any investor, to really fact check any post before basing an investment decision on it. One of the first red flags I use, is if a post is unduly verbose and full of additional photo's or comments on other issues that distract from the initial message; then I always question the validity of that message.
It is a classic psychological trick, initially instill a thought in a person's mind, then quickly change the subject before they can question that thought! magicians and card sharps have been using it for ever.
