Zionism is not just a dream of returning home; it is the unwavering commitment that the Jewish people will never again rely on others to defend their lives or their future. That is what Operation Rising Lion represents. It is not just a military campaign. It is Zionism in action — strategic, moral, and absolutely necessary.

We did not choose this war. Iran did, when it built the region’s largest arsenal of ballistic missiles, funded terror groups from Gaza to Yemen, and raced toward nuclear weapons. It did when it turned Gaza into a launchpad, backed Hamas’s massacre on October 7th, and showed the world that diplomacy was only a pause between attacks. Israel could not afford to wait. In launching Operation Rising Lion, Israel looked directly at the most dangerous regime in the region — and acted. This is what sovereignty looks like. This is what Zionism looks like.

From the early pioneers to the founding of the state, Zionism has always meant two things: rebuilding our homeland, and defending it. Today, that responsibility lives on. Operation Rising Lion is not retaliation. It is prevention. It is what moral nations do when faced with existential threats.

Iran’s regime has attacked global shipping, killed Americans in drone strikes, armed Hezbollah with over 150,000 rockets, and tried to assassinate President Trump — who is again leading the United States. Israel’s response is not only justified, but overdue. And in responding, Israel not only protects our people, but also neutralizes threats that would otherwise confront others, including our allies, down the line, and on far worse terms.

We are not fighting for revenge. We are fighting for the future. This operation is about more than denying Iran a nuclear weapon. It is about reshaping the strategic landscape of the Middle East. We are not interested in endless war. We are interested in defeating the engine of regional chaos — the Iranian regime — so that a different future becomes possible.

Imagine a Middle East where the Abraham Accords expand to include Saudi Arabia. Where trade flows from India through the Gulf to the Mediterranean. Where young Arabs and Jews build businesses instead of bunkers. Where Iran no longer dictates the tempo of destruction. That future cannot exist while the Revolutionary Guards continue to operate freely. Operation Rising Lion is our way of opening the door to that future.

We are not just fighting to survive. We are fighting to stand tall. To say that Jewish blood is not cheap. That the lessons of history are not negotiable. That the State of Israel exists not at the mercy of the world, but with the strength and legitimacy of a people that refuses to be defenseless ever again.

Some criticize Israel for acting. But no moral nation should apologize for protecting its citizens. Zionism was never meant to produce a state that simply waits to be struck. It was meant to produce a state that takes its fate into its own hands. That’s exactly what we’re doing. Proudly. Deliberately. Unapologetically.

This is not just a war for survival. It is a war for sovereignty, for stability, and for the right of a small nation to defend itself against a large evil. We are not just responding to attacks. We are changing the equation. Zionism today means understanding the moment, rising to it, and doing what needs to be done-even when the world hesitates.

Operation Rising Lion is not just a military operation. It is a declaration: the Jewish people are no longer spectators to history. We are its authors.
