Why? Russia would not want confrontation with America - they aren't that stupid.
And as to Iran - look at the map and look where Xi has been in the last days -------
Putin would be upsetting Xi's plans for the future - everything between Russia and Iran is where Xi wants to do big business and is making close relationships --
No way would Xi want Russia fiddling there now - a while back, perhaps he couldn't have cared less, I don't know - but, the dynamic has just changed a lot
