As a long term holder of the stock myself I took the opportunity of phoning Stuart late last week introducing myself along with a few questions that I had.
I found him to be professional and very approachable and answered all my questions in detail and he was very generous with his time.
I was concerned if XST was going to be in a position to fund the Diona Well? He said that they had a couple of million dollars in the bank and that they would be doing a capital raise. This notice of course was confirmed a couple of days ago with the upcoming public offering by Xstate.
At the time of speaking with Stuart he was happy with the timeline of XST relisting and being in a position to drill Diona would be met by August/Sept (this year(
Naturally the final results of Daydream 2 were incredibly disappointing at the end of last year.
As holders we need to put that behind us and move on. You either believe in what EXR has to offer or you don’t.
We have the largest land holding in the Taroom Trough which is highly favorable IMO as a takeover target.
If the AbuDhabi takeover of Santos was to go ahead and I agree there are lots of hoops tojump through first before this was to be considered, this would be favourable for us. Santos have their budget and expenditure set well into the future so developing the Taroom Trough in the near term is unlikely. IMO
Even though I was sorry to see Neil go, I think the change in leadership was absolutely necessary to instill confidence by the market back into the company.
Its early days but I personally think that Stuart is an excellent choice and he does genuinely want to get things moving. and unlock our true wealth.
