Talking of exciting, Fortescue is listed as one of the interested parties in snaring the Whyalla steelworks.

This would obviously facilitate striving to achieve our green steel vertical integration.......but would also demand additional massive capital expenditure.

Powerful step forward......or risking overreaching?.....We have so much wind, so much Sun, so much iron ore......and, most importantly, so much drive, I reckon ....GO FOR IT!.....maybe one of Twiggy's private investment operations may want to chuck a few billion bucks in! ....I might get on the blower to The Twigmeister and give him the hot tip!....he's probably already thought of it.

Its essential for Australia to expand value-adding production and evolve beyond our 'quarry to the world' mentality. We also need to expand our energy generation and electrification of industry to reduce our overseas fossil fuel dependency and conseqent vulnerability in an increasingly unstable geopolitical world.

Any thoughts, anyone? Wesley T Tiger III
