The UK government has designed the Automotive Transformation Grants scheme specifically to enable this type of coordinated, multi-company approach to address supply chain coordination failures in the ZEV transition.






Ford and LCM can each apply for up to £100 million (25% of eligible costs) to support capital investment in IXRʼs commercial plant, either directly or as part of a consortium. The remaining funding must come from private sources or other partners. This structure is designed to de-risk supply chain investments and accelerate the UKʼs transition to zero-emission vehicles.
