Just to clarify: I think the statement said "not suffered any significant losses".

Are there any cotton farmers out there?

In my calculations I have been using that they could average betweeen 9 and 11 bales per hectare (they are irrigated). Is that reasonable?

Also I have assumed that they will get about $600 per hectare in revenue from selling the seed. Yes?

I think the NSW DPI (whatever they're caalled) uses about $3000 per hectare in variable costs.

Put all that together, plus solid prices for cotton, and Tandou could be in for an exceptional return imo.
