That's why various polls are showing an amazing 80% to 90% of Australians opposing this insidious carbon tax.

80% of Australians also voted at the last elections for parties that made it perfectly clear they would not introduce a carbon tax.

Julia Gillard did more than trick the electorate She lied to the electorate. Her unambiguous words during the election campaign that she WOULD NOT introduce a carbon tax have been played numerous times today over a radio station I have listened to.

Julia Gillatd has NO mandate to introduce such a radical tax.

A tax that ATTACKS ALL AUSTRALIANS.

This tax attacks our mining industry and ALL Australian exporters. It makes what is left of Australian manufacturing totally uncompetitive against imports from countries like China where there is no carbon tax.

This tax is an attack on the ordinary Australian. This tax will cost many ordinary Australians their jobs. This tax will dramatically increase and keep on increasing, year after year the cost of gas, electricity, petrol, food - everything basic to our standard of living.

The Opposition MUST oppose this tax. They MUST tell the electorate they will get rid of it when elected - even if it means calling a double dissolution of both Houses of Parliament.

Labor will be thrown out at the next election over this tax, but the newly elected Green senators will hold the balance of power in the Senate from July 1st next year - when this new tax is meant to start (surprise, surprise.)

A double dissolution over this carbon tax after the Coalition landslide at the next election and following Senate rejections of its repeal will most assuredly restore the control of the Senate to the Coalition and this insidious anti Australian tax attacking this nation will be then be destroyed and thrown on the scrap heap where it belongs.
