Why do you NEED to know now Trader? Science will likely provide some explanations of the origin of life at some point in the future, but until it does why do you feel the need to believe in something with no evidence?

There is no more evidence for a god or deity than there is for Santa, fairies or the flying spaghetti monster.

Back to the main subject of the thread, I agree with the idea that a world without religion would be a better place, but I'm sure we would still find plenty of reasons to kill each other.

Be great to not have crazies dropping leaflets in my mailbox every other week too.
