Kevi mate!
Im surprised and sorry you seem to be doing it tough given that post.
I thought the lot of a savvy HC day trader would be a bit more promising than that. Not much chop if we have to envy the lot of someone on Centrelink. Nahhh, must be just a tongue in cheek response to dharrys poor old me post lol.
Surely its not that hard yakka checking the trend charts, picking a bit of momentum, key in a buy order, wait for a couple of ticks and bang hit the sell button and up goes the bank balance.
Once youve made a nice daily quota, its off to the golf course, or maybe grab the surf board and off for a dip.
If inland the cool blue water in the backyard pool will do.
Centrelink recipients are the poorest people in the land.
Even the libs were screaming to up the centrelink pension in recognition of that. Also, those on the dole get even less, so surely not for the likes of astute HotCopper day traders like you who are here for the quick and plentiful buck. We traders make money but really we dont produce much. We trade paper and profit from it.
A lot of the stuff we post is tongue in cheek but I must admit I do get surprised when in an investment/trading forum people compare themselves with people scraping to survive off Centrelink.
I guess some of the trading that occurs may not be that astute and it may be just gambling and if they gamble with borrowed money it can create problems for them.
From the charting you put up I would think that if you followed the chart calls you would do very well and no need to be concerned about concessions to the low income earners. The filtered Williams percentage and fractal signals give excellent entry signals for stocks and the disciplined use of exit signals can be more reliable than the use of the common stop loss.
The thread header is "If you cant beat'em". My advice is if you cant make hell of a lot more by trading/investment than someone on centrelink, I dont suggest you join them as recommended jokingly by dharry, but rather give up the day trading and get a full time day job.
cheers
