using ai as if it is somehow rational is a fools game. It trawls what it on the net in a form it can be read. So all it can do is spew out things based on volume. That does not mean accuracy
it doesn’t have the capacity to consider alternative positions and unless you are smart enough to follow up ai commentary to challenge it that way you will get a narrow and often inaccurate understanding of things. The law is definitely an example because application of law relies on debate, contextual understanding and challenge against case law and other statutes
I’ve done enough using AI to know that if you know something about a topic and follow up with specific questions that challenge anything they give you it back tracks quickly.
it’s a bit like your regular use of images that anyone who knows anything about bodies, light, shadow and perspective can pick as fake
it’s a lazy man’s way of thinking that they are an expert. They aren’t. They are simply the people who don’t have the capacity for deep thought and analytical thinking
