i dont know what polls you are looking at or who u r speaking to but most people i know are in agreement that we need to get on with things and do something about climate change...all agree a carbon tax is one of the substantial iniatives to reducing carbon...
The longer the country waits the more it is going to cost us...putting this tax in place will assist to push companies into Research and Development on alternative energy sources which has to be good for the country in the long term...short term pain for long term gain...
What else is there...who really cares how it is put into place be it the labour or liberal or greens as long as something is done about it....
