Captain my tone was a little curt, apologies. However in a two year period of being well rewarded whilst the share price was obliterated we were getting more and more angry and frustrated by stupidity "like no news is good news" and "a commitment to shareholder value" that was a falsehood, fact.
We were ignored and our investment was not desimated , that would have been only 10%. We were "obliterated"!
The work you mentioned was what he was paid to do, his job. Merril is now doing the other half of his job and well imo.
This is still an open wound for most, you included I suspect.
He did not invent the products all he had to do was sell them and communicate with us and the media and the ASX.
He got the most ineffective ex colleague a gig as marketing executive. Why?
He still has shares and options to benefit from, and for the most part he did not pay for them, effectively we did.
By all means please remind people of the great products and brilliant staff behind them.
But if...we are to recover and thrive, it will be Merril that takes us there. New and old investors do not need to be reminded of his failures so often imo.
I for one am looking forward to the future as I'm sure you and most are. The past is still raw and the only CEOs I'm interested in now, are the present and future.
