As much as I would love to have ESG's great gas resources demanded more by power generators and others to reduce Australia's carbon footprint the collateral damage to our economy may offset that windfall
The basis of our carbon footprint is our export industry digging up hundreds of millions of tons of iron ore and coal each year to send to China and Japan and others to burn or process and then send some of the the processed results back to us
For Australia to impose a carbon tax on itself before China or India does is stupid and ideology based
Our previous great leader used to think that there was a glass jar over Australia and if we cut our CO2 then our climate would definitely benefit - a closed cycle in both concept and of the mind
Our new leader Mr Brown unfortunately thinks the same thing
