sorry Bendigo to doubt you but I do recall (I don't suffer alzheimers but my memory is hopeless) Bendigo buying some loan book from macquarie bank (hence my fear that Bendigo may well have been left with a lemon -at the time I thought why would they be selling on loans).I think the loans maybe those onsold from dodgey tax tree scheme.
