Now in the aftermath IMO it appears they are downplaying the importance of any single bit of accurate identifying data let alone a accurate set. Any personal data all leads to accurate fraud attempts when added to all the other public and partial data already available. Exact names, valid email address and birth dates , did they also get Mr Ms Mrs Dr ?
From reports it appears the Cyber fraud number they are promoting that affected victims call is simply a survey firm who takes no details and simply is there to hear non personalised feedback and it does not even identify the caller . It is a customer dissatisfaction survey - seriously? Why bothe rwith a human operator when they have no information to provide. This is appallingly pathetic. The surveyors then if pushed suggest victim has to do legwork to contact further company IDcare - a charity service that ............- pathetic. It appears the strategy is to have long wait times , poor quality phone connections all adding to fatigue of victims and no specific direct manner to lodge a complaint. That way they can avoid recognizing the true extent of the problem and consequences to victims.
There is simply no excuse for the disregard IMO they are treating victims
