I think that lead prices will appreciate substantially in the coming years due to a massive increase in demand from automobile battery manufacturers and other industries. I think that statistics show that the Chinese are abandoning their pushbikes in droves and will need something outrageous like 300 million new cars in the coming decade. Remember that it takes many years to bring a new lead operation into production and the problem is that very few companies have been interested due to low prices of lead and environmental issues.
