The Opposition!!!

Their job is to oppose - but not oppose for the sake of it.

With this huge "CASTLE" of Labor, so-called "Independents,"
and the Labor Party now being married to the Greens and their crazy policies, to be able to oppose is now a gargantuan effort!

But for a few personal hatreds and perfidies, Abbott would be PM by now. He ran a superb campaign - but the personal hatreds of Windsor and Oakeshott for their previous party, the Nats, ruled the day.

Abbott can come up with all the policies he likes - once there's an election campaign about to run. But the current job of opposing what he and his party believe is wrong for Australia and Australians is a thankless task. For him to forumlate set policies at this stage is madness. There may be almost three more years of misery - and the Brown and his Greens Senate will rule for 6 years! (How a Party can win one seat and have control of the Senate is beyond me!)

It's a David v Goliath job for Abbott really.
And a poisoned chalice when he gets there. He has the "nurses" job of cleaning up all the "blood and vomit" of the financial mess which Labor will leave in their wake.
As they invairably do! Takes the new Government most of their first term just coming to grips and trying to mend the fiascos.

And BTW - wish people would call "it" by it's real name - the "Carbon DIOXIDE Tax."!!!

Those photos of the three chimneys belching "pollution" into the atmosphere so beloved of the lefty ABC actually show STEAM - NOT pollution.

TIme a few facts came to light, and not this constant Global Warming will fry us dogmatic and false Mantra.
