There is no difference towie and that's the point. The she said, he said, they said is getting really tiresome.
2 wrongs don't make a right.
Time we took a bex and had a lie down.
Pull back from the flaming and baiting, and debate the issue at hand.
I want to know why Julia Gillard has lied to the Australian people about the proposed carbon tax. I also want to know why she's announced it now, but cannot give me a clear understanding of how it's going to work. I want to know what the carbon price per tonne is going to be, I want to know what it's going to apply to, and I want to know how her proposed tax is going to manage to reduce our greenhouse gas emmissions, particularly when we have a growing population and our main exports are minerals, thermal coal and coking coal, which require and produce huge CO2 emmissions either in Australia or overseas when they're processed.
I suspect the whole thing is a huge con job and is just another tax grab dressed up in disguise as a green initiative. Playing on people's fears for the environment.
Why announce this now, without any details?
We can have that debate, and argue the pro's and con's, without resorting to flaming and baiting.
IMHO and it's not suckholing, the new direction being taken by the mods on this forum is going to improve things from what it's been recently. I hope the guidelines are followed by all including myself and that the moderation is applied fairly and equally.
