Good post. As much as i thought we might be in the middle of inking a regional deal (More hope than evidence) I think it's more likely the blackout is due to the science, ie they’ve uncovered a mechanism/application more universal, or more commercially viable than what was previously prioritized and validating that and getting the patents sorted first is what they have to do. It's the only other main reason that they can withhold information if it puts the commercial IP at risk.
Foundational science is slow and secretive, and the lack of updates or papers fits the pattern. Discovery, validation, target profiling etc isn’t flashy but its obviously something you keep close to the chest until you’re ready to file patents, publish, or launch trials. It implies either, they’ve found a broader mechanism of action (e.g., one that spans multiple cancers or diseases) Or they’ve unlocked a better delivery model, formulation, or combo therapy. Possibly both.
Why the blackout? My guess is they’re tightening the bow on something big, maybe waiting on a key patent, animal data, or maybe they need human readouts to validate what they have found before breaking silence. Pete working to "rectify" lifting them out of the blackout would align with the above as well, possibly working to get sites open in Asia would satisfy that comment.
RAC has been unusually conservative with news, so i think they have uncovered something fairly ground breaking, and they’re gearing up to back it with IP protection or data before they make any noise. Im sure its going to be critical to our investment, hopefully its exciting enough to get the market interested.
I am interested to see what comes before the option expiry later this year, and if the blackout gets lifted, what Pete is going to do to become a shareholder. He's obviously a very astute investor, and if RAC have uncovered something significant and they are confident in an eventual deal, then pete or any of the new additions to RAC becoming shareholders could light a match under RAC anyway - it would be enough validation for me to invest more at the same time.
