I thought it disappointing that there is no follow through plans currently with Walter Reed ( the US Army Medical Center) which is part of the US Dept of Defense (DoD) . WR itself does not provide funding for research, its the DoD that holds the purse strings. Beefing up their armaments these days may not leave much spare $$ for medical research, albeit it has been stated that TBI is a significant concern from them. Can only assume WR would have lobbied on our behalf to get ( non dilutive ) DoD funding but the cards have not fallen the way we wanted. Big pharma really remains our the only hope for continuation of the TBI / stroke clinical trials by way of some form of partnership arrangement.
