I am not a holder of AMU but have a substantial stake in AZZ.

AZZ have ceased their share buyback, which in my opinion at their low price means they need additional funds for something other than buying shares.

They have been talking about an acquisition since they sold off their Yellow Rose and Bluebonnet assets for their share of $156m at the end of Nov 2010.

We have had no explanation on why the buy back has ceased. My guess is they are in negotiations with AMU, and need the cash for an acquisition.

I guess time will tell.
