the first part of the e-mail is amazing ""The semi-official line we were given indirectly from Samancor""
the semi-offical line we were given...

The semi-official line we were given indirectly from Samancor was that the mine closure occurred during a period of historically low chrome prices and Samancor rationalized their chrome operations at that time back to the 2 mines and 1 ferrochrome smelter in the Eastern Bushveld. I hope that answers your question.
Should you have any other questions please call me directly.
