"China imported about 5,500 tons of yellowcake in 2010, according to physicist Thomas Neff, a uranium-industry analyst at MIT, while it consumes only half that much.".

Why China is importing twice than its need. Simple: future Inventory.

Any sensible country will build 5 years minimum inventory.

What if there is a war tomorrow which will last 4 to 5 years ?.
