pibroch, We are currently short of Diesel fitters and Engineers. This is a result of these professions being underpaid for decades. now when they should be able to earn a fortune from the mining boom they are competing with foreigners.
Australian engineers are always in oversupply either through downtunr or competing with foreigners.
Mining booms should not just benefit investors but should benefit tradesmen and engineers too.
