re: goblin You only have to put on Bloomberg or CNN to realise the nonsense being peddled around by so may "experts".
Most are still recommending traditional portfolios - what worked in the 1990s.
For protection against inflation they suggest US Government TIPS - bonds indexed for inflation by the US Government using its downramped measure of inflation that ignores energy prices etc. etc.
With the media censorship that is occurring I wonder whether anyone would be permitted to say:
"Get out of most stocks. Avoid tech and financials like the plague. Invest primarily in energy and gold stocks, with some base metals spread."
