out of boredom i sent ASX and ASIC a complaint relating to these 20,000 orders and the subsequent pulling of those orders.
In the fastest turn around ever (same day) ASX have state the following:
"We have checked trading in AGO on 9 March 2011 and we note as you have indicated, that there were multiple 20,000 buy orders which were removed from the market just before the open. We will review this trading for possible contraventions of ASX Operating Rules and if required, we will take appropriate action."
Will be interesting to see what ASIC has to say, also it would be interesting to see if the broker in question lays off over the next few days.
