My brother in law was forced to defend some IP he had written. His client has heaps of money, and it turns out they have "spent out" people before, using their $20,000/day barristers (I kid you not!).

They slipped up this time though. My b-i-l has a lot more money than they expected, enough to go to trial, and he was in the right all along. Got costs and everything back in pre-trial negotiations, as well as his IP rights.

Unless you have $200k you can afford to lose and a watertight case, fuggedaboudit.
