i'm no nuclear physicist, nor do i work in a nuclear power plant, so i'm not a nuclear expert and i'm pretty sure most people on this forum are in a similar situation. from what i've seen/read in the last half day, the alleged meltdown is not the major issue if it's contained and so far, from all reports, there has been limited radiation exposure outside of the plants housing. the true scale of the situation will come out over the coming days as the news filters through, we all know that the media likes to sensationalise things, hopefully this is the case and any radiation has been contained.
