No - it seems.
Japan, and the Japanese still evoke the most terrible memories and emotions for many people still living in the Australian community. These memories may be those of your parents, GP's or even GGP's.
And ANZAC (or ANZUS) expects, or even encourages us to, sublimanally, continue to wave this flag.
Rationally, its probably wrong.
