I have some sympathy for the farmers with good land, but the item says that all have agreed to compenasation packages for the pipeline. What would they prefer .. a neuclear reactor in their backyard??? There has to be balance in this energy/power gen/carbon debate. The Greens also need to be more pragmatic .. they want wind and solar and I agree with that but these need gas-fired peaking power gen to ensusre they are taken up. Its a balance. Happily for the first few year ESG's development will all be in the Pilliga State Forest (except the pipeline of course) and they have a 30 year access agreement, and its NOT good farming land, and ESG does not fracc! WHEN is DC going to start promoting that fact HEAVILY??
