    By the way, I went to the site you got your info from, T4me. It was the same site run by the earthquake experts who said there has been no increase in earthquake activity in recent times.

    I see you got your data from the page that was headed: "Selected earthquakes of general historic interest" and ignored the page listing earthquakes by magnitude.

    As you would know, 'historical interest' implies that they affected history of humans as opposed to geological interest, which would be the list of earthquakes by magnitude - provided on another page on the same site.

    So now I'm not sure what you are saying. We might even be in agreement. Earthquakes are not getting bigger or more frequent, but because there are more people on earth, more people will get killed by them.
