Amid so much claptrap, scaremongering, and misinformation out there, yours has been one of the few posts that focused on the real issue ... the worst-EVER natural disaster in Japan, wreaking enormous destruction and death.
The destruction of human life, buildings, infrastructure, the damage done to the ecology, the flora & fauna of the regions ... are all HUGE. The cleanup & rebuilding will take decades, and hundreds-of-billions of dollars.
Yet some will still paint this as a nuclear plant accident!! Give me a break!
What of all the carcinogens that have flooded the area from millions of litres of fuel and oil from cars, service stations, & oil depots? What of the spread of deadly carcinogenic chemicals and toxins from industrial centers? What of toxins and other substances in smashed up building materials that have been spread everywhere? And so on, and so on, and so on!
With or without the nuclear plant issues, this is an environmental & ecological disaster if immense proportions!
But we know the leaches will come out and focus on their own agenda ... that's life!
