Agree jasejdv3 disasters bring out the best and worst of society, and so it seems on HC as well. Not sure how much of it is misguided or self interest.

Can understand prudence but many of the doomsday posts don't fit that category from my standpoint. A review of the facts to date on the tragedy of Fukushima in the context of the nuclear safety record, and especially modern technology should be enough to dispel so much of the hysteria flying around.

My biggest concern is for the Japanese, their economy and the impact on Asian growth. Hoping pragmatism prevails with regard to the role of nuclear energy going forward and quietly confident that while next few days and weeks will be harrowing, that PEN will recover as they continue to tick the milestones.

Be a very sorry day if the nuclear industry dies as a result of this tragedy.
