What I am saying it doesn't matter it they can, it doesn't fix the problem
If every home in Australia was owned by an owner occupier (every tenant bough the house they were in) & 1 house came on the market to rent..would the rents be higher or lower than todays rents?
You wont get new supply IF the price of existing stock is lower than the costs for new build.
Why would you build a home for it to be worth less?
