Is there a better way to sell gold jewellery than to the Gold Buyers stand in the local mall?
Missus got offered $116 for 15.8g of 9 carat gold. A quick search on google tells me 9ct gold is approx 30% pure, so a half ounce @ $1400 per ounce this should be worth approx $210.
I realise it is a pretty trivial amount but out of interest was wondering if it would be enough to get a better price? If not then what weight would be needed to be realistic about finding an alternative? Was thinking if a few of her mates were interested they might make a larger parcel.
