You’re right that many try to use the devil as an excuse for sin — to avoid taking responsibility for their words and actions. That is true. However, it is also true that many are influenced by the devil , and embrace his ways: lies, malice, gossip, hatred, and pride. This influence is real and pervasive, and those who follow it reject God’s ways. Passing blame may explain behavior, but it does not remove the spiritual reality of deception and the consequences of walking in sin. True accountability comes from repentance and turning to God , not from ignoring the devil’s influence while excusing ourselves. Alike dbt9, it’s pointless conversing on such matters with you. You do not accept the God of the Bible — and in true respect, that is your right. But discussing spiritual matters or Scripture with someone who has repeatedly stated they reject it is simply pointless, and only wastes your own time. It seems you have no intention of ever understanding YHWH, and what little you think you understand you’ve placed in a box of contradiction and confusion.

You seem to call the devil an entity whose objective is to trip us up. I call the devil a non-extinct superstition. With that starting point, we have practically no chance of reaching agreement.
