Hi GasHunter thanks for that info I didn't even realise it had already been done. There will of course always be problems & greenies to overcome, but if they can use C02 for EOR, they should be able to find a way of safely fracking the shale & then retrieving the C02 as they do with EOR.

From reading that info, it seems that the sequestration of the C02 is more dangerous than fracking with it. LNC say they will be sequestering their C02 in abandoned wells, and claim the process is green with no release of C02 into the atmosphere, so they must have a way of safely doing so.

Hi acreage yes I understand he must be busy and almost certainly knows about the process anyway so not too worried about a reply. I haven't got one back from Bondy either but I know he's busy with a road trip/media event.

It seems the main advantage of using C02 is it's expanding properties, but also we'd just be putting back into the ground what came out of the ground to start with, albeit under pressure and temporarily.

I suppose these things take time to develop safely, but we've got plenty of wells to drill in Wyoming in the future so maybe one day. It just makes sense to me that we would get better and longer flow rates fracking with C02.

    Cheers guys.
