bbb, in all seriousness, I love posts that allow discussion of negative points without trying to berate or mud sling so TU's from me.
Reading through the article, I knew of those types of problems but not in that much detail. It's good to have it listed and to show how conti worked through the problem. I do agree though BBB, it would be better to hear about this when it happens, not months after the fact.
I think it confirms 2 points.
1. CCC have intelligent mine operation. These problems appear to have been well handled without any real fuss.
2. CCC management tend to mention all the positives happening at any time but you tend to not hear the negatives. In that regard you just have to be careful taking everything the management say as Gospel. Just have to remember this is a SPECULATIVE buy. Until DWC and Penumbra are both up and running CCC will be losing money.
I reckon so long as you keep that in the back of your mind that this is a speculative play with potential to be a multi-billion dollar company (but is still a long long way of it at this stage) you'll be be more aware if things do go awry.
"But the three other projects could potentially deliver another 780mt" Quote about DWC- They havent officially announced the JORC yet, but I'm guessing this means there is quite a bit more coal at DWC than the current JORC suggests. I remember in the past they have suggested releasing figures of DWC with a new JORC prior to AIM listing. I dont like basing my investment on unknown drill reports so I wouldnt factor any of this into the SP... But its a nice little bonus.
The fact that DWC is slated open cast initially should allow for a smaller initial CAPEX to get some production, always a good thing.
