The value of Crown from the Lynas June 2007 investor presentation of was said to be over $50 billion.

OK. Put me down as a "No Vote". This presentation shows the asset is being grossly undervalued and the claim of a billion dollars in costs to development Crown in the announcement is nonsense. Now that the concentrator is built, costs should be just digging. Even open pit the cost is about 50 million on the high side by my guess. Those costs could be recouped in a year at current prices and the project addition could take a year. Properly presented, Crown is established enough to add value to the current share price.
Why develop Malawi? We should develop Crown instead. Crown would be faster, a better balance of REE/strategic minerals, and provides better synergies with less geopolitical risks than Malawi. I will be asking about this at the next Investor Call. Everyone at the May meeting should bring this presentation to the May meeting. They should show this presentation information to the business media that will be there as well.
    Thanks for the post mreye2!
