    Django,
We don't know if President Gadhafi has majority support, we don't know if the rebels have majority support.

I do know that this is a matter for Libyians.

I expect the President to retain power unless the West sends in ground troops. How should a soverign nation like Britain or Libya react to foreign forces coming to fight on their territory.

If foreign forces were to come to Australia to exert the will of foreign governments I know I would be discontent.

The UN has no mandate to interfere in the internal affairs of soverign nations, the Russians and Chinese are right about this. Its a dangerous precedent to selectively change leaders the big countries don't like.
