You really have to question the wisdom of letting children as young as 12 into public lands with a weapon. That is 6 years before they are considered wise enough to be able to vote yet they are deemed mature enough to go out and randomly kill/maim things. I remember going out hunting with a mate and his dad when I was younger, it was only due to his lousy skills that he didnt hit the platypus he had a shot at, he did manage to kill a kookaburra though. Kids and guns just dont mix.
