...where one of the guys tested an E-max 110s and mentions that Vmoto will be making them badged for Mercedes and BMW. I sent the guy a note to see where he heard this ....and his reply was from the agent who said Merc would be under the "Smart" brand and "BMW" under the BMW brand.

Go to an extract from the VMT half year report : -

"Following the Company's annual business planning meeting held in Nanjang, China in January 2011, the company has committed to increasing its focus on business to business ("B2B") and original equipment manufacturer ("OEM") sales and is targeting B2B and OEM customers worldwide, including prestigious automobile brands."

reading Merc/BMW as the "presigious automobile brands" ....certainly fits in with the strategy note.

Obviously no serious deal has been struck...as we would have heard about it....so for the meantime it must be considered speculation only....but gives a hint of what the potential could be.

I've been reading a bit about the big players wanting to get into electric scooters...so this could be the way for them...take the Emax 110s and maybe have a few design changes and rebadge under their own brand.

Interesting to say the least!
