2 years ago, most traders would have said no (when the market was at the bottom). Today, most would probably say go ahead.
Timing is crucial, but there's no guarantee from anyone that you can get it right. But like a previous post, buying solid stocks with yields is a step in the right direction. The yield is the buffer to make up for the volatility.
